Dream Machine Distillery is our small-batch craft distillery and cocktail bar located inside Fenton Winery & Brewery in Fenton, Michigan. We produce our spirits onsite and serve them throughout the FWB taproom in handcrafted cocktails, flights, samples, or simply neat or on the rocks.

Dream Machine Distillery produces the spirits used in our cocktail program onsite at Fenton Winery & Brewery. Our team then turns those spirits into signature cocktails ranging from familiar favorites with a Dream Machine twist to original creations developed around our latest releases.

Frequently Asked Questions

When did Dream Machine Distillery open?

Dream Machine Distillery opened at Fenton Winery & Brewery in 2022 after nearly two years of planning, development and testing. The addition brought small-batch spirits and a dedicated cocktail bar to the FWB Taproom.

How long does it take to make a spirit?

It takes us 6 weeks to 2+ years to have a spirit ready and in the bottle. Vodka, Gin, and Liqueurs are the quickest to produce versus whiskey, bourbon, agave, rum, and brandy which need to ferment like our beers and wines before they are distilled. As a result, our barrel aged products will release later.

All distilled spirits are clear. Why?

All spirits are clear following distillation because the alcohol is evaporated which leaves behind the color molecules. Because of this, only barrel aging or natural fruit and nut extractions add color.

Why do you barrel age spirits and how long does it take?

Aging spirits in oak barrels adds color and develops flavors that can include vanilla, caramel, oak, spice and toasted notes. Aging time varies depending on the spirit, barrel and flavor profile we're working to create

How are you serving your new spirits?

You can order all our small batch spirits as a sample, neat, or on the rocks but we also offer a wide array of mixers made onsite like all of our beverages. We have a great line-up of crafted cocktails that were tested and approved by our team and regular guests over many months. You can also order all spirits with any mixer we offer often referred to as a ‘shot and pop’.

Can I visit Dream Machine Distillery for cocktails?

Yes. Dream Machine Distillery is part of the public FWB taproom in Fenton, Michigan. Guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails made with Dream Machine spirits along with food, FWB beer and wine during regular Taproom hours.

Can I get food with my cocktail?

Yes. Dream Machine cocktails are served as part of the FWB taproom experience, so you can enjoy them alongside food from our restaurant menu.
